NEFF born Travis Ross, May 11, 1989 in Leesburg, VA has had a lot of
recent success. As a child he often wrote screen plays, directed, and filmed home movies while also recording music on a karaoke machine with
hip hop instrumentals. This hobby soon became a life style and in high school Neff completed and handed out out ten mix-tapes recorded from his bedroom. Positive and negative feedback quickly became motivation to
take things further. Making recording at a local artist house by the
name of Moe aka "The Rawk Boy", apart of the weekly routine. Moe was quickly impressed and astonished at the young man's abilities from free-styling to quickly and easily making effective hooks. Moe immediately took NEFF in, making him his sidekick and putting him on basically all his tracks from that point forward. The exposure NEFF
gained from Moe caught the attention of local rap artist HAZE in a
Berryville, VA tattoo parlor, "Body Art". HAZE kindly informed and suggested making a phone call to local CEO of an independent record label, Josh Payne. Josh, the owner of New Nation Entertainment liked
what he heard as well, calling NEFF and TYPHOON for a meeting. Moe
encouraged NEFF to sign with the company, but decided to keep in
business for himself until he was positive this was the decision he wanted to make. Just days after the meeting with Payne, NEFF purchased a
beat from RNB Singer and songwriter Fedarro, making the song "Good Girl". He recorded it entirety at Moe's studio and the song became an
instant local hit. It was featured on the debut mix-tape album by New Nation Entertainment "The Come Up", which gained all three artist a lot
of local recognition.
NEFF, then signed with New nation Entertainment and began working on his debut album "The storm". While still doing shows with Moe, the buzz in Northern VA became massive. Opening for bands such as (Mambo Sauce, CCB,
TCB, Relentless Band, Madness Band and What? Band). The singles for "The Storm" ("Gwuap" feat. Moe, and "Get Loose") were quickly being spread out through the area and people began to become familiar with his sound. The debut of "The storm" was successful, releasing almost 1000 hard
copies within a two week period. The video for "Get Loose" was shot and released, gaining an even bigger buzz for the young artist. Neff then
began on a journey into viral videos by which he would get the masses to
become more familiar with his face, lifestyle, and image with the help of Tim Ruth (cinematographer of NNE). New Nation Entertainment's CEO Josh Payne was introduced to Alonzo Black, the CEO of Zobe, in 2010. Mr. Black watched the company New Nation Entertainment and Neff for quite
some time and decided to sit down with the CEO of New Nation Entertainment (NNE) about working with Neff which led to a merger of NNE
within Zobe making Zobe a one-stop-shop for the entertainment industry. Neff then met with CEO of Zobe, Mr. Black and began increasing his exposure, promotions, booking, and enhancing his image. Currently Neff is working towards becoming a successful music artist and writer. Neff is currently working on a number of mix-tapes, an album, and music videos so look out for this outstanding artist who will be featured in Zobe Magazine and on Zobe TV Network.
